Navratri and Durga Puja: Nine Nights of Devotion
By Divine Center ·
From Ghatasthapana to Vijaya Dashami, learn about Navratri traditions and book pandits for your Durga Puja through Divine Center.
The Nine Forms of Durga
Each night of Navratri is dedicated to one of the nine forms of Goddess Durga: Shailaputri, Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Kushmanda, Skandamata, Katyayani, Kalaratri, Mahagauri, and Siddhidatri. Devotees observe fasts and perform pujas to seek blessings.
Ghatasthapana and Kanya Puja
Ghatasthapana marks the beginning of Navratri when a kalash is installed. On the eighth or ninth day, Kanya Puja is performed to honor young girls as manifestations of the divine. Our pandits can conduct these rituals at your home.
